Blake did ok, the event was awful
Overall, Chris Young and Mystery Skulls put on a solid performance. However, Mystery Skulls' scripted commentary felt forced and unnatural. Skipping the first two opening acts, we made it in time to see Big & Rich, who were disappointingly awful. Their chaotic performance included Cowboy Troy singing Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy, as well as someone dressed as Spiderman appearing on stage. During Save a Horse, they unexpectedly transitioned into various pop songs like Bruno Mars, DNCE, and the Spiderman theme. The sound quality was the worst aspect of the event. The sound technician lacked expertise, resulting in excessively loud and poorly mixed audio. Voices were distorted and music was overpowering, leaving us with headaches and ringing ears long after leaving the venue.
